Unveiling a new Italian talent – Andrea Esu – Relish Recordings turns once again to a classic house sound.

Known around Rome and italy for his abilities as a dj and promoter, Esu begins with his own theme: E.S.U. The track taps out a quintessential 202 sequencer bassline and uses tightly reverb-ed agogos to accentuate the terrace vibe. The drama is introduced through nifty sweeping of the delays and staccato vocals.

All this satin warmth is offset on the remix provided by the Finnish pair Hannulelauri. Stripped kicks and chiselled stabs leave a state of tension in the air. Such contrasts provide a rounded package to kickstart the dancing season.
